I Once Was Lost…

Date: 11 Dec 2009 Comments:0

Ok, so I guess I haven’t really been lost, but busy, and completely neglecting my blog I have been!  I am hoping that since I have now made it through my daughters birthday party that maybe things will slow down a little bit.  I haven’t even done a post about Abbie’s birthday…she turned 1 on December 5!  HOW EXCITING, and a little scary too.  The time goes by so fast!  And of course I have to show off just a little bit too…so here are a few pictures from the party!

This was way to cute to pass up…especially when she volunteered to stick her head up to the flower!

And of course she got to eat her own birthday cake, ALL by herself!

It was a great party with lots of friends, fun, and of course pizza!  It was AMAZING.  Now I am getting ready for my husband’s birthday and Christmas.  I can not believe that it is Christmas already!  I am really excited, not for myself, but for Abbie.  Her first Christmas was last year, but she was only a few weeks old, so she was not really able to enjoy any of it.

Well, I am going to leave it at this for now, but I will be getting some more posts done soon, so keep checking back.  I ask for prayer for me and my family.  Nothing in particular, but please keep us in your prayers in general.  I will do the same for you.  God Bless, and Happy Holidays!

Catching Up!

Date: 3 Dec 2009 Comments:0

Wow, I have a lot of catching up to do, so today I am going to start doing it.  Because of circumstances at home, keeping up with my blog has been quite a chore.  I wonder how some of you do it….You Are Amazing, and you should give yourself a big pat on the back.

I thought I would tell you all that I won a drawing at Heavenly Homemakers.  I was so excited when Laura told me that I had won!  YIPPEEEEE!!!  Wow, I never win anything.  And not only that, but it’s a book that I can read to my daughter.  That makes it the best win of all.

Thanksgiving was nice.  It was my first ever family Thanksgiving (with my husband & daughter of course).  We had a great time, I hope all of your holidays were nice as well.  God is so great, and blesses us with so many wonderful things every single day, that giving thanks is something we should practice all of the time, and not just once a year.

Happy Holidays to all, and I will continue to catch up as the week comes to an end.  Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that this weekend is my daughters birthday!  That’s exciting in itself, but I will also have my mom here who can help watch Abbie while I work on Catching Up!

Hello Again!

Date: 18 Nov 2009 Comments:0

Wow, so I was looking, and it has been exactly one week since my last post, and that wasn’t even really a post, just a link!  I am so sorry to anyone who has been checking back to read my blog.  Things have been crazy (and I am sure you all know what that is like).  Between being sick myself, and then my daughter being sick as well, I have just not had time to sit down and write anything.  I have has absolutely no ambition:(

So I found this amusing clipart to illustrate what I was feeling like!

And this is what I really wanted to be doing:)

I though some illustration would be fun in this case, because everyone knows what it feels like to be soooooo tired of being sick and tired!

Anyways, I am back, and will be getting back on some sort of schedule in the next day or so.  I appreciate your patience, and your sense of humor.  I hope that everyone has been doing well.  God Bless

Tonight is the Night

Date: 9 Nov 2009 Comments:0

The night is finally here!  York, NE first ever Praise and Coffee Night Out.  I am so excited (and just a little bit nervous).  I pray that we have a wonderful turn out, and that this new women’s ministry will truly bless the women of this town.

I also want to give a big shout out to Sue Cramer, the founder of Praise and Coffee Nights.  She has been a big help getting me started.  The starter packet that she sends out is a wonderful help.  If you are considering starting a Praise and Coffee in your community be sure to request this information.  If you have never heard of Praise and Coffee you should go over and check out her website at www.praiseandcoffee.com

Well, as I end this post I just want to ask a huge favor of all of my readers.  As I go out tonight to begin this amazing adventure with the other women of York, NE I ask that you all pray for me, as well as the ministry.  I pray that friends are made, lives are blessed, and souls are won for the Kingdom of God!

The Three Wise Women (Joke of the Day)

Date: 7 Nov 2009 Comments:0

OK ladies, I know that you will see the humor in this, even if your husbands do not!

The Three Wise Women

You do know what would have happened if it had been three wise WOMEN instead of men, don’t you?
They would have asked for directions,
arrived on time,
helped deliver the baby,
cleaned the stable,
made a casserole,
and brought disposable diapers as gifts!

Worship Wednesday

Date: 4 Nov 2009 Comments:0

What a great day to worship God, of course ALL days are good days for worshipping God, but today we are going to acknowledge it and announce it to the world!  If you read my post yesterday, you should know that there are so many things that I have to worship God for, and that’s not including all of the wonderful things He does every day that we just pass over as “part of the day” instead of stopping, and thanking Him.

Well, all that being said, Let’s Worship God!  I am really hoping that I can get some of you to join in with me soon.  I love hearing what others are doing to Worship God, and show Him how much we love Him.  So get out of your chair, jump up and down, throw your arms up, sing, or do whatever it is that you do to worship God.  Let Him  know that we remember who the Almighty one is, Praise God!

I hope you have all had a wonderful Wednesday afternoon:)  Stay up to date with Worship Wednesday by Subscribing here .  Have a great week!

The Silver Lining

gratituesdaynov09

I have so much to be grateful for this week, I’m not even sure where to start.  God has really been pouring out blessings here lately, and it is just a wonderful feeling.

If you do not know this about me, I work a few hours 3 times a week at the clinic cleaning.  It is nice because I get to go when it is convenient for me, and it’s a little extra money for the household.  Well, I recently got a raise, and then I also got a few more hours given to me!  I was TOTALLY excited.  I like to feel that I am contributing a little towards our household income, but I LOVE staying home with my daughter.  This is a great comprimise.

My husband got a job!  When we originally moved to Nebraska, it was not intended to be permanent.  It was for a construction job for Andrew, which only lasted a few months.  In that time we really decided that we like it here, and wanted to stay.  My husband has been doing lots of jobs around town, but he now has a full-time job that he seems to be enjoying.  God is just blessing our socks off!

Over the weekend I was sick (this is not the part I am grateful for:) What I am grateful for is family, friends, and support systems.  My mom was here visiting over the weekend as well, which made it possible for me to sleep and get better:)  My husband was loving, kind, and supportive, which was just what I needed.  I have an amazing daughter who hung out with her grandma all weekend.  And I have an amazing friend who took time out of her day this morning to take me up to the clinic for my doctor’s appointment.  On top of that she watched Abbie while I was in with the Dr., so things really went pretty smooth. (Thanks Laura)!

God is so awesome even through the rough times.  We need to always pay attention for the blessings instead of dwelling on the rough patches;)

His Princess; Learning to Forgive Me (#1)

Date: 30 Oct 2009 Comments:0

John 15:16  You didn’t choose me, I chose you.  I appointed you to go and produce fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.

God is so amazing!  What a powerful statement, You did not choose me, I chose you.  I often hear people, including myself, using the phrase, “before I found God.”  It’s so important to know that we did not find God, He was never lost to begin with.  We were the lost ones, and he found us.  He also chose us to be his Princess.  He chose us to go and produce fruit that will last.  We are not in control, but He is!

We are God’s royalty, even when we do not feel like Princesses.  He is waiting for us to start living the amazing plans that He has for us.  We are God’s children, and he has chosen us.  He has also given us a choice to represent Him to the world.  We must not forget this part.  Yes, we are royalty.  Yes, God chose us.  Yes, God loves us, but are we showing the rest of the world this, or is it something that we only celebrate while in the comfort of our own homes.  God is always willing to give us what we need to complete our calling, but it will not always be so comfortable.

I hope that you continue to join me as we learn more about being God’s Princess.  We mean that much to Him, and we should continue to show our love not only to Him, but show the world how much he means to us as well!

He forgives us when nobody else will:)  PRAISE GOD            GOD BLESS                      HOLY, HOLY, HOLY

What Fell from the Bible? (Joke of the Day)

Date: 29 Oct 2009 Comments:0

I found a great amount of humor in this one.  Mostly because I have a child, and I can now appreciate the innocence of a child’s thoughts and words.  What a great joke!

A little boy opened the big family Bible.
He was fascinated as he fingered through the old pages.
Suddenly something fell out of the Bible.
He picked up the object and looked at it closely.
What he saw was an old leaf that had been pressed in between the pages.
Momma, look what I found,” the boy called out.
What have you got there, dear?” his mother asked.
With astonishment in the young boy’s voice, he answered: “I think it’s Adam’s underwear!”
